Introducing Aleksandra Cowley BMus (Hons)Piano, MM.(QCM Griffith) Aleksandra began her musical studies at the age of 6. After learning the piano, flute and saxophone, her passion for music lead her to the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. There in 2001 she completed her Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Piano Performance under Natasha Vlassenko. In 2004, she graduated with a Master of Music degree from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.As a student, Aleksandra achieved the Griffith award for academic excellence and has also been the winner of the Brisbane Eisteddfod Piano Concerto Competition and the Basil Jones Sonata Prize. Aleksandra has had 8 years of teaching experience, and currently teaches students from pre-school to year 12 at the Ipswich Girls Grammar School. She also privately tutors students at her home studio on the south side of Brisbane.
Aleksandra believes that a child's music education is a present investment in a lifetime of musical pleasure.
